¡HOLA AMIGOS!
We are Samuel and Francesca (brother and sister) and we are forever in the process of transforming our rancho in the Bahia De Concepcion, Baja California Sur to be the best it can be. We are originally from San Diego, California but have been visiting this Mulegé since we were 6 weeks old so for us this is home! We love everything about the ocean, sustainability and a laid-back simple lifestyle. We have built our property with the help of amazing individuals with the intention of having likeminded nature lovers from around the world come and stay in one of our 11 rentals.
A LITTLE BACKROUND
- In the mid 80s, my father (born and raised in Baja California) happened upon Mulegé with his brother on a motorcycle trip and instantly fell in love with the town, scenery, and the people (how could you not?). Once we came into the world, we began coming down every summer and winter break. It started with tents at Playa Coyote, moving to a 1970s renovated airstream we always parked between the famous palms, eventually culminating in our family wanting to have a chunk of the place we had come to love. In 2004 he bought what is now Baja Glamping. After 12 years of adding to and building on our land he hoped to retire on, in 2016 our beloved Papa passed due to Cancer (Fuck Cancer). For a while, it didn't feel the same to be here without him, but after a trip to Mulegé to spread his ashes, we decided to take over the land and finish what he had started and invite people to stay on the land he loved so much to keep his memory alive. We established Baja Glamping 5 years ago and have come a long way, but it is still a work in progress. We are so proud to share what we have created with all of you.
Bahia Concepción isn’t for everybody. If you like the fast life, dressing up, staying up all night, and hotels with room service, keep on going down the road. Here, the local restaurants provide special entertainment nights that rotate throughout the seasons but even, so most are shut down at 9:00 pm. We call it Baja midnight. Everything here takes time, but it is worth the wait! Hace tiempo, todo tiempo. This place is about relaxation and getting back in touch with nature and yourself.
ABOUT OUR PROPERTY
- We pride ourselves on being sustainable and 100% OFF THE GRID. We run everything off of Solar energy and our water comes from our well. What does that mean for you? We ask that you please not plug in anything besides device charges (phones, cameras, computers, drones are OK) and the lights or fans we provide in your rooms for you as they are for our system and we have a limited amount for the entire property. As for water please try to limit your showers and water usage we are trying our best to preserve our precious resource.
- We currently have a variety of 5 rooms available for booking on our private property. You are able to book one, multiple or the entire thing!
- We are an adult only campground 18+
- We have Starlink Wifi so you can work remote with no interruptions from the middle of the Baja desert
- We have two separate bathrooms (including showers with hot water) one is completely private the other is locker room style
- Our kitchen is shared but is fully equipped and has more than enough room for multiple groups (we have a propane stove, two grills and a smoker for use) we also have a fridge the is shared with all guests, and each room comes with their own cooler for use
- There are multiple hangout spots on the property so you can have privacy if wanted
- We have a dog and 5 cats that roam about the property, if you do not like animals this probably isn't the spot for you (they help keep the rodent / insect population down as well as guard the property)
- You are free to roam about the property on your stay, we have corn hole, horseshoe, fire pits, and board games.
- The entire property and your rooms are deep cleaned with Branch Organics and Seventh generation cleaning products in between each guests stay
- We include beach gear (towels, beach toys, snorkel masks/fins and coolers) just ask us about it!
- Our location is a short walk (900 meters) away from the famous Playa El Coyote, and 1.2 km from Playa El Burro. The rest of the many beaches are just a short drive north or south from us.
- There are countless hiking trails in the area, and we are more than happy to show you where they are!
- There are 8 restaurants in the bay, 4 are in walking distance from the property.
- The town of Mulegé (Moo-Le-hay) is 20 minutes north from us, we HIGHLY recommend spending at least a day here. There’s so much history in our tiny Pueblo and beauty to discover, along with incredible restaurants and local shops.

FREQUENTED ASKED QUESTIONS
Q. Can we book the entire property for a group stay?
A. Yes! Of course. We love having big groups / families stay on the property. It’s a great experience for everyone. Just send us a message!
Q. I am looking for a last-minute stay, can I make a same day booking?
A. If you’re looking for a same day booking and the place is free, please inquire and we will do our best to get you in! It depends on our cleaning crew, and you may have a bit later of a check in, but it doesn’t hurt to ask!
Q. Can we bring our well behaved child?
A.No, we are an adult only campground. It’s not that we don’t like children, it is that we have had incidences in the past that made us put a rule into play due to safety reasons. We are in the middle of the Baja desert and there are countless ways to injure yourself if not careful.
Q. What is the closest airport to you?
A. Loreto international airport is roughly 90 minutes south of us. You can rent a car at the airport and drive the scenic route straight to us! We recommend stopping at pescador / let to stock up on groceries if staying for length of time.
Q. Do you have hot showers?
A. We sure do! We have 3 showers on the property all with hot water and a 9-layer filtration system! We have been told we have the best showers in baja!
Q. I am a blogger/influencer/photographer can I stay for free?
A. Not for free, but we do trades for work. Just message us!
Q. Can I bring my well-behaved dog?
A. Yes! As long as they get along with other dogs and cats we have no problem with fur babies. (We do require a pet fee)
Q. I would like to host a retreat at your venue how do I go about that?
